Ive got a huge obsession with Calvin Klein at the moment, modern day simplicity is signature Calvin Klein, and i love it. 

DKNY

DKNY ready to wear Fall collection

Dominatrix dominates this season. Sleek sexy black leather offers a lustrous take on Autumn’s latest trends. One of my favourite designers on the runway at New York Fashion week had to be DKNY, presenting lbd's with a modern leather take, accented with leather sleeves and bell flared hems, intertwining the leather trend in a beautifully elegant way. The Valentino and Calvin Klein collection also presented leather in the form of dresses. Other designers that also really stood out for me on the runway were Celine, Givency and Alexander Wang. Alexander Wang, in his usual fabulous way, presented yet again another dreamy collection. His work included leather in the form of jackets, trousers and dresses.

Leather trousers are by far the most popular piece when it comes to the leather trend. They are proving extremely popular this season, whether it be tight, barely able to breathe skinny’s or slouchy joggers with leather paneling or a rim of leather on the waistband.

   

Rag and Bone boys

Why wear one great item when you can wear 5? Layering has become an annual trend every Autumn and the fall collections on the recent runways demonstrate new and innovative ways to layer up this winter.

The weather, as I am sure you have noticed, has made a drastic change – without sounding too dramatic it’s absolutely baltic, so the layering trend has most certainly got my blessing.

There are so many different ways to layer this season, as the catwalks have demonstrated. The Rag and Bone boys have it spot on this season sporting jackets under jackets. Yes you read correctly. As bulky and uncomfortable as this sounds, its down to how you wear them and how you co ordinate your look. A leather jacket under a tweed blazer, or a denim jacket under a twill coat will look effortlessly cool, as well as keeping you lovely and warm. The trick is to choose two pieces that are mainly streamlined and layer the lighter one underneath.

Missoni, as well as Rag and Bone, know exactly how to layer and presented a range of chic and innovative ideas. 

Joggers

Having a major clear out, trying on clothes, selling them etc so decided to do a quick outfit post. Obsessed with anything baggy and slouchy at the moment so when i saw these Zara silk pants i couldn't resist. Currently have a pair of T by Alexander Wang knit joggers in the post on its way to me so cannot wait till they arrive. Joggers have become massive this season, mainly down to the athleticism that is ruling the runway at the moment. Wearing these nikes a lot too, brighten up any outfit.

Joggers can be paired with pretty much anything - they look great with platform sneakers ( see above)  currently selling these on ebay at the moment here if any of you are interested. 

Alexander Wang - MFW

Here i've handpicked a few of my favourite pieces from the Alexander Wang Fall/Winter 12 collection at Milan Fashion Week.

I think my ongoing obsession with Alexander Wang can only get bigger with every collection. I found a great site online today that sells designer pieces for nearly half the price, its unreal and is pretty much my only way of owning one of Wang's pieces without blowing my entire wage.
His Fall collection demonstrated his love for street wear and architecture, and as always he didn't disappoint. His collections carry a sense of casual cool street wear and in this particular collection, a hint of grunge. So nice.

New Balance

Ahh SO obsessed with the New Balance trainers, especially the classic 410's and 420's. Payday needs to hurry up so i can get my hands on a pair, or two of these... 

The colours are bold and bang on trend, paired with pretty much anything these trainers will make any outfit appear retro and chic. Too nice. 

I now have a weekly Fashion column in the student paper, so Salford/Manc students please pick one up and have a read, i'd love to hear your comments. 

Feeling blue

Cobalt seems to be the colour of Autumn this season as it dominates the most recent runways. Combining oversize cocoon coats with a huge splash of cobalt, and just like magic the next statement pieces are in and are demanding our attention. Luckily for all of us, blue can suit any skin tone, its just a matter of choosing the right shade for you. Cobalt will look truly scrumptious with a light end of season tan.
