The label of class. As always the
collection is feminine desirable and absolutely beautiful. I’ve picked out a
few of my favourite pieces from their spring 13 collection. The pieces are
delicate yet acquire a slight edginess to them through the overtly sewn panels
on some of the garments. There are elements of prints, delicate chiffon and
lace. There is a clear Victorian inspiration, with collars and ruffled bib
fronts. As always the collection is a fairytale of romance and class. Exquisite,
and totally girly. Bella valentino.

Comme des Garcons
Comme des Garcons is so unique and so set
apart from any other label within the fashion industry. I’m totally overwhelmed
and in awe of this label so I thought I’d share with you my love for the genius
that is, Rei Kawakubo.
The Japanese designer established the
company in 1973 and has been attracting interest and controversy ever since.
Her first boutique was opened only for women in 1975, though later branching
out to a menswear collection in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s. In 1978 a men’s
line Comme des Garcons Homme, was added to her label.
Though initially receiving criticism for
her extremely controversial designs Comme des Garcons shot to international
fame by the mid 80’s claiming the fashion group international award in 1985.
The branding became synonymous with art
house magazines and cutting edge photography.
I just
decided to make a company built around creation, and with creation as my sword,
I could fight the battles I wanted to fight’ Rei
